"The single most important component of a camera is the twelve inches behind it!"

HEY, MY NAME IS MAGGIE!
Wedding + Portrait Photographer
With over 10 years of professional photography experience, I have seen it all... and I LOVE it. I love my job. I love showing people how their moments look from the "outside". I want someone to choose me because they treasure these fleeting moments as much as I do. The way your spouse smiles at you, the way your baby looks in your arms, the tears when you see your bride for the first time.
If you want to have a good time and get art quality images, I'm your gal!

What's with the name Yellow Horse?
Yellow Horse Photography was named for my horse Newt. He is the most gorgeous palomino you ever did see! He helped me find a part of me I didn't know was missing. Newt is living his best life with a new family, but he holds a huge place in my heart <3
Where are you from?
I am originally from Central Florida so I do weird things like wear sandals in 30 degree weather and eat ice cream all year. Ice cream is necessary ALL YEAR when you are living in satan's ass crack. I came to Kentucky in 2005 for college and never looked back. My family moved to Benton, Kentucky in 2020 and are happy to call Marshall County our home!
What else do you do?
When I'm not working, I'm probably mom-ing. I have 2 young daughters. They consume much of my brain power. Sorry in advance if I forget stuff every now and then.
I love being outside enjoying the great outdoors! I am also a lover of arts and crafts. Painting, beadwork, embroidery, sewing, felting... I'm that person who has an unholy amount of half-finished crafts in various totes and baskets around my house.
What makes you different?
My biggest assets when it comes to photography are my experience and my ability to make people feel comfortable in front of my camera.
I have been doing this long enough that I have dealt with just about every difficulty that can arise as a photographer. The years of experience also have taught me what people need to be able to relax and know they are going to get beautiful images.
